Lost Legs – ‘Lovesick’ Single Review

Lost Legs are an exciting 4-piece indie band in the local scenes of Manchester managing to combine crisp elements of the pop world with the classic swagger of the great guitar music so typical of the northern music scenes. Still in the beginning of their musical careers after only forming in 2023, Lost Legs already have a loyal base of fans due to their electric live shows and the release of ‘King of Broken Hearts’. Now striving to build on this momentous start, Lost Legs have released their latest single ‘Lovesick’ on the 30th of August.

Attempting to capture that feeling of being stuck on a lover that you just can’t seem to move past, Lost Legs have managed to land right in the sweet spot between Pop music and Indie. Bringing some incredibly crisp production and sheen to the classically indie instrumentation, ‘Lovesick’ pairs the energy and passion of the indie scenes with their brilliantly bubbly Pop songwriting.

The instrumentation of ‘Lovesick‘ blends together brilliantly, with each element complimenting one another and coming together to form an incredible backing to an amazingly talented vocal performance by front man Simon Stirzaker.

However, the true strength of this new single is the fabulously sing-along chorus providing an excellent opportunity for some surely unforgettable live performances. After a single listen you’ll be able to sing along to the chorus, and while this is due to some slightly simple lyrics, I don’t think this harms the song at all, if people are singing along to your song, you’re certainly doing something right.

Lovesick‘ is a great single, that I’m sure will thrive in the live environment – I for one can’t wait to hear it live and excitedly await whatever’s next for Lost Legs. You can stream ‘Lovesickhere or alternatively find Lost Legs on any of their social media platforms here
