Lost In Translation – ‘DWYT’ Single Review

Following on from their recent release of ‘RAMONA’, Lost In Translation are wasting no time in giving us more music to continue their run of releases. After their recent hit show at 33 Oldham Street the independent Manchester band are now releasing their 3rd single of the year ‘DWYT’.

While I did enjoy their single ‘RAMONA’, as mentioned in the corresponding review its main selling point was its sing-along chorus. With this new single ‘DWYT’, Lost In Translation move up to a new level with their releases that they have been showing signs of in their live scene for a while now. This new single finally feels like a truer representation of the hights they hit in their live performances.

This track, led predominantly by an incredibly uplifting guitar riff and a great melodic vocal track from front man Tom Bellerby, comes together sonically in such an effective way. ‘DWYT’ is another great example of the upbeat ‘feel good’ times that this band put forward so fabulously. I personally can’t wait for the inevitable coming of age film soundtracked by this band that is so obviously demanded by their music.

I know I sound like a broken record at this point but if you haven’t had chance to see Lost In Translation live yet, they are a must see for the local Manchester scenes. This new track, just like the previous singles, is a great look into what makes this band so good, but it is elevated in a live environment; Lost In Translation shine on stage and this single is a great window into the energy that they bring.

You can stream ‘DWYThere or alternatively catch Lost In Translation on any of their social media platforms here.
