Following on from the success of their recent single ‘Lost In Love’, Cheadle based alt-rock indie trio Elephant And The Rider have now released their third single of the year ‘Tango’. As I expressed in my corresponding review, I absolutely loved ‘Lost In Love’, therefore it only felt right to discuss my thoughts on their exciting new release.
Straight away ‘Tango’ takes a more chilled ‘vibey’ approach than that of their previous single – where ‘Lost In Love’ was a powerfully punchy anthem, ‘Tango’ feels more like a slowed-down sat-back eyes-closed kind of track. With ‘Tango’ Elephant And The Rider have managed to create a more soulful sound that perfectly contrasts and compliments the rest of their discography, providing an excellent addition to their already delightful portfolio of passionately created music.

With psychedelic surf-rock sounding guitars and a groovy drum track so typical of what we’ve come to expect from this band Elephant And The Rider pair their danceable verses with a brilliantly clap-along chorus that’s sure to go down a treat in a live environment.
Once again lead by an immensely charismatic vocal performance from front man Pip, alongside a playful bassline from bassist Tom, ‘Tango’ is another sign of greatness from this incredibly exciting band. I can’t say enough just how much this band is one to keep an eye on, check them out. You can stream ‘Tango’ here or alternatively find Elephant And The Rider on any of their social media platforms here.
