Elephant And The Rider – ‘Pink Front Door’ Single Review

Following the release of their latest single ‘Tango‘, the Cheadle based band Elephant and the Rider have continued to impress with their newest single ‘Pink Front Door’. This track is a dynamic blend of the vibrant elements from their past work, combining the energetic spirit of ‘Lost in Love’ with the relaxed and smooth tones of ‘Tango.’

Pink Front Door’ is perhaps one of the bands strongest additions to an already exciting discography. Moments of the track are positively Arctic Monkey-esque, whilst also being uniquely Elephant and the Rider. Vocalist Pip’s velvety vocals are the perfect companion to the tracks self-deprecating lyrics, giving it an authentic and relatable edge. The song is further bolstered by the groovy and psychedelic bass and drum track, played by Tom and James respectively.

So much of what I look for in new music is how it would sound live and ‘Pink Front Door’, I’m sure, would be electric when played live and it would no doubt go down a treat at any indie club night.

Although the indie music scene is brimming with emerging talent and can often feel oversaturated and overwhelming, Elephant and the Rider are carving out a distinct and well-earned place for themselves!
